Evening on the Malecón in La Habana. As we walked along in the warm evening breeze I noticed a small group of children huddled together in a corner. They were giggling and obviously excited about something. I told my companions to continue on and that I would catch up eventually. I had to see what this was all about.

Then, Wooosssh!

The Atlantic slammed against the breakwall, shot upward into the night sky and rained down in a deluge. A three second long Monsoon, and my little niños were drenched. Screams and laughter filled the night air as they danced around and hopped about. And even now, I can still feel every bit of that joy.

I parked myself on the pavement, set my focus and waited... giggling and excited.
